Lucknow 18 August : Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav blamed on Thursday the Election Commission (EC) for his partys loss in the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, and by-polls.
"The EC was dishonest.
It was unable to listen to voices from the Opposition.A large amount of votes were taken off the electoral rolls.

Yadav said that his party is focused on restructuring and strengthening its structure and will hold an annual national convention in the coming year.Concerning the role of his party in the creation of an alternative to the government, Yadav declared: "Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as well as Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar are working on the idea.Our primary focus on the moment of the moment is to strengthen the power of our party in the state." amita/pgh .
