Bagalkot (Karnataka), November 29 : .Monday’s attempt by Murugesh Nirani, Karnataka’s Large and Medium Industries minister, to downplay K.S.Panchayat Raj Minister K.S.Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Murugesh Nirani was made Monday.Eshwarappa supported him for the Chief Minister post, stating that he did so out of love and confidence in him. Nirani addressed the media to clarify his position regarding Eshwarappa’s statement.
“Eshwarappa made the statement at a BJP meeting in Bilagi organised by the party’s backward communities’ wing.He said that he would be the next Chief Minister.He said that he might have made the statement out of affection or as a stamp of approval for my pro-people programs and public service over the years.”
“Eshwarappa, a senior leader, built the party in Karnataka with former Chief Minister Yediyurappa as well as former Union Minister late Ananth Kumar in the last five decades.He said that he was indebted for his affection.
Concerning the leadership issue, Nirani stated that BJP will contest the 2023 Assembly elections under Chief Minister Basavaraj Bammai’s leadership.
“Basavaraj Bommai does a great job.He is taking everyone in confidence and addressing the flood situation and Covid-19.Under his leadership, we will face the next Assembly elections.He stated that our aim is to win at most 120 Assembly seats, grab power on ourselves, and also win more seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.”
