According to the agency, 8,064,499 people have been treated for the disease in Africa so far.
According to the agency, South Africa, Tunisia and Ethiopia are the countries with the highest number of cases on the continent.
According to the Africa CDC, the most affected area in terms of caseload is southern Africa, followed by the eastern and northern parts of the continent.
Central Africa is the least affected region of the continent.
