Production house of actor Prithviraj to present ’83’ in Malayalam

Chennai, Nov 28, : Actor Prithviraj Submarans Prithviraj Productions will present the Malayalam version, 83.

It is based on India’s 1983 cricket World Cup winActor Prithviraj stated that "83" is the true story of the greatest victory of the Indian cricket team in 1983.

It is a fascinating story that must be told, and I take great pride in presenting one the most anticipated films across India and around the world.Kabir Khan, the film’s director and producer, stated, "We are honoured that Prithviraj Productions is on board and support release of the Malayalam edition of 83.

" It has a pan-India connection and will appeal to the local audience with the support from Prithviraj.Ranveer Singh will play the role of Kapil Dev.The film will also feature Jiiva, Saqib Salem, Jatin Sarna and Chirag Patil.Deepika Padukone will appear in a cameo as Romi Devs wife.
