Short filmmaker Karuna Kumar gained decent applause from the audience as well as the critics with his debut film ‘Palasa 1978’.The film was made based on some real events that happened in Palasa in 1978 and was appreciated widely for its authenticity and rawness in its making.
The film even attained more attention after its digital premiere on Amazon Prime.The film had Rakshit and Nakshatra playing the lead roles while Music director Raghu Kunche played the villain in the film.
Tammareddy Bhardwaj presented the film which was bankrolled by Dhyan Atuluri under Sudha Media banner.
Now the latest news is that director Karuna Kumar is planning to make a sequel to ‘Palasa 1978’.Buzz is that the director has already completed the script work and registered the title ‘Kasibugga’ for the sequel.Interestingly Kasibugga is a village near Palasa in Srikakulam district.
An official announcement regarding this film is expected to be out soon.
