A false theft accusation has led to a 8-year-old girl seeking Rs 5 Million compensation

Thiruvananthapuram : An eight year old girl approached Kerala High Court Thursday to seek Rs 5,000,000 in compensation for being falsely accused by a female police officer of theft of her mobile phoneThe petition stated that the police officers were not prosecuted despite numerous pleas.

Therefore, they are seeking justice.

She was shamed by the public and went into shock.She had to go to counselling and this episode haunts her to this day, according to her petition.

Jayachandran approached Anil Kant, the chief of state police to take action against Rejitha.His daughter was shocked at being publicly shamed.

Kant promised action and asked South Zone IG Harshita Totaluri to investigate.Rejitha was then transferred.
