Hamirpur (Uttar Pradesh), November 26 : .Eight teenagers were arrested by the Hamirpur crime branch in connection to the murder of their friend, a teenage boy, more than a month ago. The main accusation is among those who were arrested.
Sanjay Tripathi (a local BJP leader, the father of the deceased Aman Tripathi and his wife Madhu) were on a hunger strike since the last two days.
However, after the intervention by the local administration, they were able to call it off with the assurance of justice.
After the Banda police failed take any action, the parents of the deceased went on a hunger strike to demand a CBI inquiry.
K.Satyanarayan, Inspector General (IG), Banda-Chitrakoot had then transferred the case over to Hamirpur’s crime branch.
According to the IG, all of the accused are high school students.
“The main accused and the deceased had a fight that led to the murder.
He said that all the accused were taken to Chitrakoot’s remand facility on Thursday evening.
Aman had been to a coaching class on October 11th and then disappeared.
Later, it was discovered that Aman was invited to his birthday by the main suspect.His body was found in bad condition and with bruises to the head at river Ken on October 13.
According to the father of the deceased, “There are some more people involved in this case with criminal backgrounds.” The IG assured me that he would recommend the case for CBI investigation.
