7,500 square feet Tricolour on display at Dal Lake

Srinagar 15 Aug : A 7500 square feet National Flag reached the Dal Lake on Monday after traveling across the length and wide of the nation.

The Lieutenant Governor stated that it is an issue of immense satisfaction to us that J&K hosts the National flag of enormous dimensions under the name Har Ghar Tiranga Utsav.The National Flag was displayed by the group of Himalayan Mountaineering Institute Darjeeling which was headed by its principal Capt.

Jai Kishan, Group Captain Jai Kishan, in collaboration with India Tourism, Northern Region to spread the message of National Unity and Integrity.The Flag, prior to the arrival in Srinagar was exhibited in Darjeeling in August 8 in celebration of the anniversary of 80 years of Quit India movement.

The HMI team HMI used the same flag for the first time in Sikkim Himalayas in April 2021.The flag was later displayed at Victoria Memorial, Kolkata on 15th August 2021, and at the Statue of Unity, Gujarat on October 31, 2021.

The flag was later displayed at Antarctica and set the record of the largest National Flag of any country to be displayed in Antarctica.In the present, in line with the governments Har Ghar Tiranga campaign The Flag is currently being placed on display in Srinagar.

It will then travel to other areas of the country in the next few days.
