Five Nigerian citizens arrested for illegally living in India

New Delhi, November 18 : Five Nigerian citizens were arrested by Delhi Police on Thursday for illegally remaining in India.

The accusers were named as: Dalington, Theophilus Sundy Patrick and Nmadi.Police received information about illegally living in Uttam Nagar by some African citizens.

Six police officers formed a team to capture the suspects after receiving a tip.Police arrested the accused foreigners in Uttam Nagar Police Station, Najafgarh Road near Nawada.The cops questioned them and asked for their passport and visa.

They could not provide the documents and they were arrested and found to have overstayed in India.An official stated that the police had registered an FIR pursuant to sections 14-A under the Foreigners Act.Further investigation is underway.In their quest to eradicate crime in Dwarka, Operation Varchasva was launched by the Dwarka police district.
