New Delhi, November 18 : , With the goal of extending the benefits India’s growing digital economy, Google announced Thursday a number of initiatives that will help India in its digital transformation.
Google Assistant enabled, the company launched a pilot program to allow users to book a vaccine appointment online using the COWIN website.
The company stated in a blog post that it had worked with COWIN to facilitate the integration.This will allow people from all walks of life to book vaccine appointments in an easier and more guided way.
The feature is available in English as well as eight Indian languages, including Hindi, Gujarati and Kannada.It will be available in English starting in 2022.
Sanjay Gupta (Country Head and Vice President of Google India) stated that India is on track to become a true digital economy with the foundations of digitization in place.
Google announced another feature for Search, which will allow users to view web pages written in different languages.
The company claims that this will make web content of high quality available for local users who search in their native language.They will also be able view pages in the original language they were originally translated if necessary.
The book is available now in Hindi, Kannada and Tamil as well as Telugu, Telugu, Malayalam and Telugu.
Tech giant Google is expanding voice-driven experiences in Indian languages with the introduction of search results that can be heard loud for those who prefer to listen to information.
Google Pay has added Hinglish to its app in order to make it more intuitive and user-friendly.This is a combination of Hindi and English that can be used as a conversational language.
The company stated that Hinglish was introduced to “make these interactions more natural through Google Pay.”
