487 illegal immigrants rescued from the Tunisian coast

Tunis, Nov 27, : Tuniss maritime guard has rescued 487 illegal migrants from the southeastern province Sfax, according to a statement by the countrys defense ministry.

According to Xinhua news agency, the rescued people are from different nationalities, including Egyptians, Bangladeshis and Syrians.Every year, thousands of illegal immigrants cross the Mediterranean.
