Mysuru, Nov 27, : .48 nursing students tested positive for the Covid virus in Karnataka’s Mysuru District. The district administration confirmed that the students infected were from two nursing colleges.They contracted the virus within a week.
Bagadi Gautham, Mysuru District Commissioner, stated that this is a cluster case and that all steps have been taken in order to stop the spread of Covid-19.He said that the students will be tested again.
Gautham stated that all of them were fully vaccinated, and that they were symptomatic.
During the second wave, Mysuru was among the most affected districts in the state.
The lockdown was lifted in the final phase after Bengaluru.
People in Mysuru are panicking over the development.This is Mysuru’s cultural capital and a popular tourist spot.
On Saturday, 281 infections were reported at SDM Medical College in Dharwad, Karnataka.
Basavaraj Bommai, Chief Minister of the State, called a meeting to discuss the Covid-19 situation.
