Four more deaths bring the total number of dengue-related deaths to 137 in Pakistan’s Punjab

Islamabad, Nov 28, : Four more people died from dengue fever in Pakistans eastern Punjab province in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total to 137 deaths in this season, according to an official with the provincial Health departmentImran Sikandar (Secretary of the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Departments of Punjab) stated that 108 new cases were reported in the province within the last 24 hours.

He also stated that the province saw 24,744 cases from different regions during the September-November period, according to Xinhua news agency.Urban areas of the province remained hotspots for the disease, including Lahore, the provincial capital.

It also reported 82 of 108 new cases in the last 24 hours.Over the past few days, there has been a decrease in daily new cases.
