Kolkata 21 November : .India put in a flawless all-round performance and thumped New Zealand by 73 runs.
This was the final T20I of the series. India reached a respectable 184/7 with 20 overs thanks to Rohit Sharma’s brilliant fifty (56 runs from 31 balls).
Rohit was not the only one to get off to a good start.Venkatesh Iyer (29), Ishan Kishan (29) and Shreyas Iyer (25) all had great starts, but failed in their quest for success.
Mitchell Santner (3/27), was the top wicket-taker of the Kiwis.
Martin Guptill replied with a fifty, 51 off 36 balls.However, it was in vain.New Zealand lost for 111 runs in 17.2 innings, falling by 73 runs.
Tim Seifert (17), and Lockie Ferguson (14) both contributed with their bats to the Kiwis, but not enough to prevent them from suffering a major loss.
Axar Patel (3/9) was India’s most consistent bowler.
