Srinagar : , Three terrorists were killed in an encounter with police and security forces in Jammu Kashmir’s Shopian district.They refused to surrender, police claimed. Police stated that they were responding to specific information regarding terrorists in the village Check Cholan, Shopian.A joint search and cordon was launched by the Police, Army’s 34 RR, and 178Bn from the CRPF.
The police stated that terrorists were discovered during the search operation.They were given multiple opportunities to surrender.
However, they fired on the joint search party indiscriminately, leading to an encounter.
“Three terrorists from LeT (TRF), a proscribed terror organization, were killed in the ensuing encounter.Their bodies were then retrieved from the scene of the encounter.”
They were identified as Amir Hussain Ganie (residence at Check Cholan Shopian), Rayes Ahmed Mir (residence at Kapran Shopian) and Haseeb Ahmad Dar (residence at Khudwani Kulgam).
According to police records, the three terrorists who were killed were all classified as terrorists and linked to proscribed terror outfit LeT.(TRF).They were also part of groups that were involved in terror crime cases including attacks against security forces and civilian atrocities,” said police.

He was involved in numerous terror crime cases, including attack on Police/SF.He was also involved with the attack on Police/SF in village Rakhma.A police statement stated that terrorist Haseeb Yousuf was also involved with terror crime cases in Kulgam.”
They also had incriminating materials, ammunition, weapons and ammunition including one AK-74 rifle as well as two pistols.All materials recovered have been entered into case records for further investigation.
