Today, India is looking at Pakistan and demanding punishment for the culprits.Pakistan continues to deny all of the allegations.

Ten terrorists entered India via Pakistan’s sea route in November 2008.They opened fire on multiple locations in Mumbai and began shooting at them indiscriminately.

At least 166 people were killed in the multi-targeted attacks, which also included 18 security personnel. Many others were injured.

Since then, India has claimed that the terrorists were members Lashkar-e-Taiba and that the attacks were orchestrated from Karachi.

India has shared dozens of dossiers to Pakistan, requesting action against terror groups and their leaders, including Hafiz Muhammad Seed and Zakiur Rehman Lakwi, which they claim were behind the attacks.

Pakistan, on the contrary, has rejected India’s claims and stated that the members of the banned organisations have been investigated by Pakistani courts. They have repeatedly given a clean bill of health to them after considering the dossiers that India claimed contained irrefutable evidence.

Although Pakistan claims that the matter is being heard by the Pakistani courts and is being investigated, any decision would have to be made by the courts. The courts require evidence to support the claims of involvement of the individuals.

The ghastly attacks of September 2001 are still reminiscing in the hearts of the families of those who were killed.

It is not wrong to say that 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks changed the overall attitude of both countries towards one another.

India accused Pakistan while Pakistan denied all allegations.

Both countries have now drawn a line and demanded prior steps to explore the possibility of both sides sitting down to negotiate.

Pakistan continues to place Kashmir dispute at the top of its agenda while India demands that the 26/11 terrorist attack masterminds be punished.

Since 26/11, both Pakistan and India have witnessed bloody clashes along LoC and the working border.

Both sides have also accused each other of supporting, harbouring, and facilitating terrorist outfits in their respective countries.

The two nuclear-powered neighbors have no chance of normalcy and both sides refuse to take the first step towards building confidence.

Those who have lost loved ones will continue to wait for justice.
