By IANSlife New Delhi, Nov 27, (IANSlife).The International Woolmark Prize, the most prestigious fashion awards and talent-development programme in the world, has selected seven of the most promising young designers for the 2022 edition.
The Woolmark Company and a renowned team of industry professionals evaluated hundreds of applications to select the seven finalists for July 2021.

This year’s conference will celebrate forward-thinking design, innovation, and play.Finalists are encouraged and encouraged to explore new materials, designs and business strategies to spark change and creativity for a better tomorrow.
These are the 2022 International Woolmark Prize finalists:

Each finalist will be awarded a AU$60,000 grant to develop a Merino collection.The program’s education-and-mentoring initiative, the Innovation Academy will support them.

The awards
The seven finalists will present a Merino Wool collection for Autumn/Winter 2022.They will also develop a sustainability roadmap together with Common Objective.
The winners will be chosen by a distinguished panel of industry professionals.They will be announced in April 2022.
One finalist will be awarded the International Woolmark Prize.They will receive AU$200,000 for their investment in their business.
The Karl Lagerfeld Award for Innovation will be awarded to another finalist, and the winner will receive $100,000.The Woolmark Supply Chain Awards will be presented to honor a trade partner that has made a significant contribution in improving the wool supply chain.
All finalists will have the chance to be stocked at some of the most prestigious retailers in the world through the International Woolmark Prize Retailer Network
Among the International Woolmark Prize contenders for this year are Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent.
