Chattogram, Nov 28, : Bangladesh led Pakistan by 89 runs at Sunday’s end of Day 3 in the first Test of this two-match series.
Day 2 saw Pakistan win at stumps.

On Sunday, Pakistan was on top at stumps.However, Taijul Islam swept through the Bangladeshi batting lineup.

His seven wicket-haul gave Bangladesh an important lead in the first innings.Shaheen Ali and Hasan Ali regained control for Pakistan.

Hasan Ali showed determination and took Taijul on for a six-wicket and a four from consecutive balls.The left-arm spinner had the last laugh when he got Ali stumped to complete his ninth Test five wicket haul.

Hossain, Taijul and Nauman Ali cut short Sajid Khan’s and Nauman Al’s time at the crease.Still, Bangladesh was 73 runs behind Bangladesh’s first innings score.Pakistan’s last wicket pair of Shaheen Shah Amridi and Faheem Afridi added 29 runs to reduce the lead down to 44.After a crucial 38 run, Ashraf was out and Taijul took the final wicket.

Pakistan’s pacers decimated Bangladesh’s top four wickets after conceding an early innings lead.Afridi was the one to beat for Pakistan, dismissing Shadman Islamic leg before the wicket.

Two balls later, Najmul Shanto, who was not troubled by the scorers, had to walk back into the hut and edge the ball to Abdullah Shafique slips.

Hasan Ali was caught by Mominul Haque, the skipper of the Tigers, for naught in the very next over.

Azhar Ali took a great diving catch at midwicket.After the drinks break, the Tigers lost Saif Hasan to Afridi’s short ball.

Yasir Ali & Mushfiqur Rahim both survived the nine remaining overs as Bangladesh went to stumps at 39/4 with their lead of 89 runs.
