1st Test: Abid and Shafique take Pakistan to the 145/0 against Bangladesh on day 2

Chattogram, Nov 27, : Pakistans unbeaten fifties by openers Abid Muhammad (93 not out), and Abdullah Shafique (52/out) brought Pakistan to 145/0.

Pakistan was trailing Bangladesh by 185 runs at day 2 of the Test series against Bangladesh here on SaturdayAfter a disappointing Day 1, bowlers turned the tables for Pakistan by beating Bangladesh for 330 in Day 2.

Hasan Ali finished with his sixth five-wicket haul of Tests.The day ended at 253/4, Bangladesh.

Liton Das, who had scored a remarkable maiden Test century on day 1, was dismissed by Hasan Ali in his second over.Litons wicket ended the huge 206-run fifth-wicket gap between Mushfiqur and him.Pakistan didnt have to wait long for the next wicket as Hasan took out Yasir Ali a few runs later.Mushfiqur tried his best to hold on but the runs were over.

The pressure was maintained by the Pakistan bowlers with their tight lines, lengths and tight runs.Faheem Ashraf finally took out Mushfiqur just before the drinks break, as the veteran Bangladeshi cricketer missed his century by nine runs.

Mehidy Hasan tried to accelerate using a few lofty shots, but he received very little support from the opposing end.Shaheen Ali and Hasan Ali quickly wrapped up the innings.They dismissed Abu Jayed (8-8) and Ebadot Holsain (0-8) on back-toback deliveries just before lunch.
