14,500 schools to be built under PM scheme

New Delhi, Sep 5 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the celebration of Teachers Day on Monday announced the establishment and upgrading of 14500 schools across India under the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM-SHRI) scheme.

These schools will be models schools that will embody the essence of NEP," the Prime Minister tweeted.He said that "the PM-SHRI schools will use modern, transformative and holistic approach of teaching education.

The emphasis will be placed on a discovery approach to learning, a learning-centric method of teaching.The focus will also be on the latest infrastructural developments, including the latest technology including smart classrooms, smart classrooms and much more" "The National Education Policy has revolutionized the education sector in the last few years.
