One person was killed and seven others were injured in a tragic accident that occurred when a speeding Benz car rammed into a car behind it.

Police said .The incident took place within the boundaries of Halasuru Traffic station.Hari Mahanth, an Assam native who worked at a pub for 10 years, was the victim.

The victim was identified as Hari Mahanth, an Assam native who had been working at a pub for 10 years.Other injured persons in the accident suffered minor injuries.

According to police, the speeding Benz car had hit the car moving in front on a busy arterial road in Channasandra near Indiranagar 80 Feet Road.The impact was such that the car that was hit, in its turn, rammed into two autos and a mini lorry.

The two cars and autos were totally damaged in the incident.The Benz car belonged Nandita Choudary.
