Chennai, Nov 26 : , The Tamil Nadu Health department stated that 1,38,747,00026 people in the state were yet to receive the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.Meanwhile, 73,463,363 others were scheduled to receive the second shot.
J.Radhakrishnan, the state Health Secretary, stated that 2,011 Covid deaths were recorded in August, September, and October.

He said that only 5% of those who have received the vaccine have died, while the rest of the population who died from the disease had not received the vaccine or had just received it.

According to the Health Secretary, 109 people died even after vaccinations or 5%.This was primarily due to co-morbidities or delayed treatment.

95% of those who died from Covid-19 were not given the vaccine.Only 12% (227) received the first dose.

He demanded that everyone be made aware that vaccines are lifesavers for Covid-19, and urged everyone to get the jab.

Radhakrishnan stated that the risk of someone dying from Covid-19 is 3.5x higher than for someone who has been vaccinated.This is one of many substantial evidences that would help the average person understand the importance and necessity of vaccines.

He said that the state has ample vaccine supplies.

He also stated that all districts around Kerala must remain alert due to frequent movement and travel between the two states.

Ma Subramanian, Tamil Nadu Health Minister, told IANS that the Health Secretary had directed all district collectors to inform people about the importance of vaccination against Covid-19.The death rate from the infection in those not vaccinated is 3.5 times higher than for those who have been vaccinated.We asked the district collectors for information at the grassroot level.We have plenty of vaccines.

After finding that Covid-19 cases are decreasing, the Health Minister stated that people in certain areas of the state have lost their guard.He warned that this could lead to serious consequences, and urged the state’s citizens to follow protocols.
